School BeauceSchool invites you to an immersive experience with Mr. Alain April, President and CEO of Le Bonne Entente, on March 25–26, 2025, as part of the Élite Program.

Alain April is the fourth in a line of hoteliers, and he has infused his career with an undeniable passion for the hospitality industry and a constantly renewed enthusiasm. In addition to serving as general manager of the Hôtel Le Bonne Entente in Québec City since 1995 and of the Georgesville in Saint-Georges de Beauce from 1992 to 2015, he holds several other leadership roles within the tourism industry. Whether through the Quebec Tourism Industry Association (AQIT), the Board of Directors of the Quebec City Tourism Office (OTQ), the Quebec Hoteliers Association, or the Board of Directors of the Quebec City Convention Centre Corporation (SCCQ), he is always driven by the promotion and recognition of the tourism industry as a driver of economic growth for Quebec. He could not be fully committed to his industry without being part of a team of proud, professional, and ambitious employees. Together, they have raised the standards and recognition of the Hôtel Le Bonne Entente. In 2012, he became a co-owner of the Hôtel Le Bonne Entente. His outstanding work has earned him numerous accolades as an economic leader, including “Hotelier of the Decade,” as well as induction into the Canadian Tourism Hall of Fame. Mr. April is also deeply committed to the community, particularly in the fields of sports and youth development. In the fall of 2014, Alain April helped create and place Quebec place very place “wellness resort,”Entourage sur-le-Lac, where he serves as manager of the hotel located in Lac-Beauport. His son, Julien April, has been in charge of operations since the resort opened in September 2017, becoming the fifth generation of hoteliers in the family.

Then, in 2018, he founded his own hotel management company, GAA, through which he secured management contracts with major hotel chains in partnership with Horwath HTL Consultants. During the COVID-19 pandemic, his expertise in the tourism sector was put to use both during the crisis and in finding solutions for the industry’s economic recovery and assisting Quebec entrepreneurs.
