Gérard Trudeau, the son of a farmer, became a certified public accountant in 1966. He initially worked at Samson Bélair before being appointed, in 1971, deputy treasurer of the Montreal Urban Community (CUM). He continued to be involved in this organization by becoming executive director of the public safety council ofof the CUM in 1974 and deputy chief of the the CUM from 1977 to 1984. He was also the first civilian in North America to hold a senior management position in a major police department.
In addition to his extensive experience and numerous accolades, Mr. Trudeau’s companies have also received awards such as the Canada Brand Award from Agriculture Canada, Quebec Vegetable Grower of the Year from the Quebec Vegetable Growers Association, and Exporter of the Year in the Dominican Republic.
He has personally participated as an exhibitor in over a hundred trade shows in Canada and in many other countries. He remains very active across all of their businesses. To ensure the continuity and long-term viability of the businesses, a board of directors was place 2021, consisting of three external members and three family members, in addition to a CEO who was appointed in January 2022.
