School BeauceSchool invites you to an immersive experience with Jean Bédard, President and CEO of Groupe Grandio, on January 19–20, 2027, as part of the Élite Program.
Jean Bédard is a graduate of HEC Montréal and a certified public accountant by course. After completing his studies, he opened his own accounting firm and specialized in computerized accounting, a pioneering field at the time. In 1986, he fell in love with the concept of La Cage aux Sports and, two years later, decided to get involved in opening a franchise in Saint-Hyacinthe with a group of shareholders. After being appointed president and CEO of the group, he led the network’s expansion across the province. Over the years, La Cage became a staple of the Quebec dining scene. Capitalizing on a renewed enthusiasm for boxing in Quebec, Groupe Sportscene acquired Interbox and became a promoter of major events. In 2015, he began a new chapter with the complete rebranding of La Cage aux Sports, which became La Cage – Brasserie sportive. This concept focuses on a high-quality menu featuring fresh, locally sourced ingredients. La Cage is now certified as “Aliments du Québec au menu” and “Aliments préparés au Québec.” Over the years, Mr. Bédard’s expertise has been sought after for several key roles within the Quebec Restaurant Chain Council and Restaurants Canada. He also shares his knowledge and experience through corporate conferences and asentrepreneur-coach School de Beauce.
