School BeauceSchool invites you to an immersive session with Mr. Olivier Fleury-Bellavance, Vice President of Finance, on June 20–21, 2024, as part of the Émergence Program.
Born in 1981, Olivier was exposed to the world of entrepreneurship from a young age. His parents, grandparents, uncles, and aunts owned businesses in various sectors, including agriculture, real estate, construction, the restaurant industry, and the trucking industry. Olivier chose to pursue a university education and earn his Certified Professional Accountant designation in 2006 rather than take over one of the family businesses. This led him to become a managing partner in 2014, at the age of 32, of a provincial accounting firm with approximately 200 professionals dedicated to SME owners in the real estate, construction, manufacturing and processing, retail, restaurant, and automotive sectors. Following his time atEEB 2014–2015, Olivier decided to leave the world of professional accounting services and partner with his largest client at the time, Groupe Ouellet, where he became Vice President of Finance and a partner. In doing so, Olivier positioned himself to drive business growth rather than merely advising entrepreneurs from the sidelines.
In 2015, the Ouellet Group operated seven car dealerships. Seven years later, the Group now operates 22 car dealerships, employs nearly 1,000 people, and is ranked by AutoMédia as the second-largest automotive group in the province of Quebec. Olivier plans to continue the Group’s growth through acquisitions and organic expansion in his role as Executive Vice President and General Manager, and to advance the place succession planning process. Olivier also serves on the boards of directors of various companies involved in professional consulting services, the environment and sustainable development, real estate, textile manufacturing and processing, and finance. Olivier is not only active in business but also as a parent of four children, with whom he plays badminton, hockey, mountain biking, spinning, and running.
